Amongst their new recruits are two of former Braintree players from last season, Matt Rush and Jon Benton.
This season at home they have won four and lost one of their opening fixtures, beating Taunton Town (4-1), Eastbourne Borough (2-0), Hampton & RB (3-0) and Torquay United (2-1), the only defeat saw Dartford win one-nil.
They have scored eighteen goals in total – Siju Odelusi has six, Jon Benton five, Charlee Hughes and Matt Rush three each and Eduino Vaz one.
Tuesday evening saw both sides engaged in F A Cup replays with Braintree overcoming a vibrant Canvey Island side three-one after extra time, which came about as the result of a last few seconds of eight minutes added time equaliser from Kyran Clements. Meanwhile Aveley who had drawn nil-nil at Kings Lynn Town on Saturday, made light work of their replay with a resounding four-nil win with two goals each for Rush and Benton.
This promises to be a lively derby and fifteenth placed Braintree will have to be on their best form to bring any points back from Parkside.
