So the away team FGR beat Dover 0-1 last night to kick off the play-off's. A repeat in the away leg of our play-off would be most welcome.

Some cocky and aggressive postings on the Grimsby forum, mixed in with a few voices of reason. Lets hope the majority of their fans are just normal supporters, wanting their team to win, obviously, but looking forward to a good match. Best of luck to the great travelling supporters from Braintree, and of course all the very best to the players and management team, who can make history for the club. COYI

Grimsby team news: TOWN boss Paul Hurst has a fully fit squad to choose from ahead of Thursday's play-off semi final first leg against Braintree Town (7pm). Speaking at his pre match press conference, Paul said: "I've got a full fit squad to choose from and obviously with that a few decisions to make. "We've trained every day. Monday was light but after that we've done quite a bit of work on Braintree and what we can do to try and cause them some problems . "You want a group that are keen and eager to play and there's going to be a few disappointed lads come Thursday night. But at the same time you've got to keep that unity, things can change very quickly, whether you are on the bench, or maybe some-one gets an injury for the second leg. "We've all got to pull together to try to get a positive result, " he added. Read more at www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/news/article/braintree-team-news-3095568.aspx#o1bgmlIEgzuAdPcz.99

Hi guys Grimsby fan here . Wishing your fans a safe journey up , whatever the outcome big respect for what you and your team have done this season . Yes there's some on our forums who think we are too big for the league , love to abuse other clubs and goad our own players but in the majority we are good fans who just want a bit of success after dropping from the Championship to were we are now . It will be a close game I know the times I've seen Braintree this season they have looked very well set up showing there's no 'I' in team , enjoy some Fish & Chips if you make the journey tonight and I hope for a good game .

The Iron just keep on giving! We are all so lucky to be involved - it's like watching Barry McGuigan knock Mike Tyson on his arse...again and again and again! Forza Iron! Forza the Cowleys!

What a win! 5 games against Grimsby and Cheltenham and five clean sheets. Stuff not jinxing it... I'll see you all at Wembley!

Excellent work tonight by the team. I'm a former braintree boy, now reside in Colchester (as the pic suggests) if CUFC played with half as much passion and togetherness then relegation would have been averted. Good luck for the rest of the playoffs, see you next year

Fantastic being there last night. Enjoyed every minute. I thought we was abit dodgy at one point but after Kenny put away the peno we kept it. I think the fans made the difference
