Iron's reserves are on the road again next week. If you aren't making the trip to Barrow but still need your Iron fix then a trip to Leiston could be right up your street. You may even bump in to former Iron Chairman George Rosling who is known to frequently attend Leiston first team games. There is plenty of cover at the ground should it be wet.

In the last two games the reserves have been unfortunate to lose Flynn Tarman & Will Young in the warm up. Today it was Alfie Walker's turn. Recently on loan at Canvey Island, Alfie pulled out today with an injury and was replaced by Isaac Amoah before the game had started. Iron went ahead after 21 minutes. A short corner from Cameron Marks to Luke Mallett was then rolled into the path of Matt Baxter and he drilled a low shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards. Leiston levelled 8 minutes later with a deflected shot during a counter attack. Luke Mallett gave Iron the half time advantage two minutes into stoppage time with a low free kick.
The second half was a different story. Leiston ran out 5-3 winners. Further details to follow.....
The attendance was 46.
