Heard today about all the injuries, but be assured this TEAM of ours will give their all no matter who is on the pitch because we are made of IRON.
Just hope the good people of Braintree turn up in their droves and appreciate just what Danny and Nicky are doing.

With fitness worries over several players and a tough opposition; I'd expect a 4-5-1 formation. Norris, Walker, Clerima, O'Shaughnessy (is he still here?) Miles, Davis Woodyard, Brundle, Akinola, Cheek. Love to see a 5-0, especially as we're expecting a few more through the turnstiles, but I expect a very tight first half and a 1-0 could well win it.

Keep up dbbn. Your grammar may be top notch but squad awareness could do better on your school report!!

Yes it's a pity that the Brainless and Witless decided to make a big thing about us struggling to get a team together on what should be one of our most attractive fixtures of the season, I can see that alone putting off a number of our fair weather supporters.

A well contested game; between two well matched sides. Isaac and Sparkes were missing due to injury, so Brundle started in midfield and Edgar came in on the left flank as part of a 5 man midfield. Braintree registered more shots at goal with a couple of long range efforts from Brundle and Edgar making the opposition 'keeper work to push a shot behind after some good team build up play. A great last ditch tackle from a Town centre half prevented Cheek from getting a shot in at goal. Habergham was to carry out an equally goal saving tackle in the second half as Town pressed to find an opening goal. I thought Paine was outstanding at the back today, but Kenny was sloppy in his passing and was guilty of giving the ball away too often. Still, the Iron remain undefeated in this Octoberfest of tough fixtures and are now over halfway to safety!
