----------
A game which started well for the young Iron turned into a rout for Kings Lynn Town Reserves. The first half our defence was solid nothing was getting past a backline of Gilder, Pullen, Moore & Mallett and the lads did superb, Lynn did not have a shot on target. An unfortunate error that our keeper held his hands up for led to the opening goal, but the boys did not lose heart and went in feeling positive.
The 2nd half started and the lads got caught cold immediately with a killer second goal that ended the game, it was then a rout for Lynn as they tore the Iron apart, a positive was the last fifteen minutes, instead of sulking the lads kept trying and possession was even and the Iron even threatened the Lynn goal. The boys need to look at the positives of the first half and build again for Saturday, we have now played three tough games. The mature players of Yarmouth & Stowmarket and the best Reserves sides in Lynn. We now face two sides similar to ourselves and these are winnable games to boost our confidence. Chin up lads.
