If both of the next 2 home games are postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, I will be posting a letter to the club asking for the remaining home games to be played at a neutral venue, such as Portman Road, Ipswich which has better drainage and should ease fixture congestion.

Wills whilst your funding this maybe you could invent a way of stopping clay holding moisture?!? Or you could pay to have the whole pitch dug up and the clay replaced with a more porous soil?!? Whilst your there maybe talk to him up stairs about the exceptionally wet winter we are having and ask him to stop it raining?!? Or alternatively keep your pen in your pocket?!?

Why not go the "whole hog" and play our remaining fixtures at Wembley Stadium?

Why not go the "whole hog" and play our remaining fixtures at Wembley Stadium? Wembley is a bit too far from braintree, Ipswich is a lot closer.

While you're picking up for the cost of alternative stadium hire Wills, will you also be arranging transport for our supporters &/or compensation to the club for loss of income?
Fixture congestion is one thing, the club finding money they haven't budgeted for would almost certainly be another.
I reckon you'd be best off sponsoring the club in another way.

No I won't be arranging transport for the supporters, I'll just be sending a letter requesting a change of venue for remaining home games where the drainage is better as ipswich has good drainage and colchester don't.

The letter should get a good laugh. Don't forget to put a stamp on it or would you personally hand it to Lee.

No I don't think so as it wouldn't be a bad idea to move home matches to Portman Road as Gateshead moved over half their home matches last season.

I can't comment for Gateshead but our club is run debt free so the cost of moving our games would have to come out if other areas of expenditure of which the biggest is the playing budget so unless where gonna pay a bunch of kids for nothing then it's a stupid idea!

Lets give Wills a break if like me we all are frustarted by our lack of games and concern about fixture congestion. I think I can safely say our next game will be 1st Feb away to Southport, Having seen the rain today, forecast for more Thurs and Fri, allowing for 6 hours plus travelling time for Gateshead to come here I reckon game called off Friday afternoon. Same as tue night. Which means we not played home all January. So dissapointed. Whats the chances of us playing Sat, Tues, Thurs and Sat again like last year. The tuesdays are dissappearing thick and fast. FINGERS CROSSED

FINGERS CROSSED If you think the next game will be away to southport on 1st feb, it will mean 4 home league games in a row postponed due to a waterlogged pitch meaning I will have to write to the club asking for a neutral venue for remaining home games this season, Portman Road, Ipswich would be a good idea starting with the nuneaton game on 8 February.

Unfortunately I have to agree with Simon. Its been hammering it down again this morning with more heavy rain forecast overnight on Friday.
The Club have been doing all they can by digging new drainage ditches, but as fast as they make progress along comes even more rain.
