The players will appreciate our continuing support Simon. Hyde are struggling badly again, so they'll be intending launching their big fightback, meaning we'll have to be on our game - as always. As something unexpected has cropped up, I'll be flying over and attending some upcoming games For those not traveling to the Manchester area our very own BBC Essex is providing live commentary at this link: www.bbc.co.uk/englandcms/livestreams/int13.asx

8 am up and off with Stuckey by car to Manchester. Not on team coach today as we both have to be back in Essex for 8.30 tonight. (Quiz night with wifes).
Should be a good game could end up 2nd in league if results go for us.
We must not underestimate them Hyde today. Mid field needs to be good for us.

It seems that BBC Essex warrant sending Glenn Pennyfather up to co-commentate with whoever is in the main seat, so it will be more unbiased than some commentaries of late. Little disappointed not to be asked but its great to get the coverage for all those not able to make the trip up north. Alan Devonshire will be pleased at the performance of the squad and all we ask is that they all keep the momentum going and put teams with poor form to the sword, the Hyde ground should suit them and confidence in their abilities will be high. If Dan Holman gets a chance he will be so hungry he should gobble up the goals!! Come on the Iron.

And we should see an ever improving Chez Isaac enjoying the centre mid role.

Ok Hyde bottom of the table without a win, but take nothing away from this result. any 3 nil away from home deserves credit. Solid at the back once again and stikers scoring what more could you ask for?. So we sit third in the table only on goal difference behind the Mariners and a few points off Cambridge. Would'nt it be good if they played each other soon?.......... Tues night. 2nd place here we come 3 more points against Welling will do the job. See you all Tues, Come on you Iron !!!!

In the first half Hyde were very good and passed the ball very well and were definitely the better team, with Nathan doing at least 2 very good saves to keep them from scoring (one shot from distance was flying in and Nathan somehow tipped it onto the post) and we took advantage of a bad error to lead. But in the second half we were the better team and we kept the ball a lot better and Jordan scored a really good goal, which he really deserved and in the end we were comfortable winners. Come on Braintree! Lets hope we can keep the run going on Tuesday!

How did the midfield do overall? Without Kenny and Luke Daley, I wondered what your thoughts were. Would you start with the same 11 on Tuesday?

The midfield done fine in the second half and I thought very well in the Alfreton match as well when Kenny went off. Chez I think has done just as well as Kenny in that position. Also the depth in the team this year means that at the moment we are playing really well despite a few injuries.
Also I would start the same as yesterday because I don't think there is any need to change a winning team, but Sean did seem to be injured coming off yesterday.

Thanks for replying 'Stuart R'.
I missed the game yesterday, but looking forward to tomorrow. I think Chez looks good in the central role.

Chez looks good all over the park, matty what a player lead the team to a perfect display. Nath pulled of a world class save early doors and apart from a fumble what we survived solid for the rest of the game. Sam G another assured performance, by the youngster close call if he starts against Welling, the way Welling set up if fit Ryan for me. Deano and Mass Brill, Sam H very good game needs to keep his standard high as Newman is waiting in the wings and this boy has excellent footwork and gets up and down the pitch, Mulls always a threat from midfield and fantastic work rate. Sean what a nuisance to defenders, Charlie this lads on fire the work rate he has is outstanding with goals to boot. Dan good cameo couple of good runs great to see him on the pitch. Mr Cox how things can change in your football career, from that chance meeting two seasons ago when myself and Bobby spotted him at the upton park tournament raw but the desire was abundant, Devs is guiding this young man to reach his potential thats within himself, and the goal just made his day, and mine. The over head kick with his left was unlucky i have no doubt on his right that was buried, money on that happening through the season seen him do it a few times its just something he has natural in him. On to Welling Tues and another hard test aren't they all, as above if fit only changes Ryan, for Sam, Jordan for Sean and the big one Liam on the left for Daniel. Bet your glad i don't pick the team lol.....

A few pics from Saturday (i.e. the ones I didn't send to the "Non League Paper" ... I've got better - but they didn't use 'em !! mossleysmiffy.jalbum.net/HydeBraintree05Oct13/(I'm sure I could "sneak em out" (the better ones) - if I adjust ... I'm quite new to this "NLP" commission-type stuff - and as such unsure of the copyright implications - especially as they're paying me )
