No disrespect to you Richy but think it may be better to not name it official as it is not coming from anybody in an official capacity on the board or employed staff...... Wouldn't like to think of you getting the club into trouble for any comments made on there by visitors??? Check with the Chairman when you next see him if you haven't already!!

Hi all, just to clarify. I've asked Richard to help the Club maintain and update a Club group so that we can get information from the Club to Facebook users as quickly as possible. Everyone is welcome to join and the group will be coordinated by Richard Nott.

To be fair you're not going to stop these Facebook pages being created so you may as well embrace them. I guess if anyone choose's not to join them they will potentially miss out on information. I do agree that a single source of information seems to be a logical approach though.

Congratulation Richie, all forms of media need to be embrace as many have different ways and ease to communicate, look forward to reading what's coming from the boardroom, either on here or the facebook sight, or both.
On an official capacity if you would post this please the following. After the Hereford game around 5.15pm - 5.30pm game permitting there will be a meeting for supporters and fans to update on the project to be undertaken this season to envelop all the teams at Btfc, and Btfc youth sides. I have been speaking to a member of the board who will give an informed view of what direction and events he would feel benefitted us the supporter in constructive ongoing and future needs and tasks ahead for us. I now feel it is time to take big steps and have engaged some high-flyers in business who run or Own companies outside of football to invest some time on us with direction and strategy. This is for the fans of Btfc who give a dam!!

on the subject of all forms of media needing to be embraced, what has happened to the club twitter feed? in a time where twitter is growing hugely, the twitter feed has dissapeared. over 2000 people still following tweets from the account, but the last tweet was in july last year.

I believe twitter was set up by Dave Clarke who appears to have gone into exile in Norfolk.

perhaps then there is someone who could take it over? its become a really useful way of reaching fans quickly and in numbers in the last couple of years for many clubs.
all he would have to do is pass over the user name and password really. it would be a shame to completely lose something on the rise like this, and like i say, despite not posting since july, there are still over 2000 people recieving tweets from the account.

as much as i would love to, i really dont have the knowledge needed on the club, and am only able to attend a handfull of matches a season (my brother plays for colchester, so i go to 35+ matches a season). what would be ideal is for someone that goes to games home and away to be able to tweet updates/goals from games. that keeps peoples interest up, and then links can be provided to the website for breaking news of signings etc. have a look here to see what can be done with zero extra money. they have getting on for 7000 followers now, and its a great way to foster relationships between the players and fans. twitter.com/ColU_Officiali know the guy that runs it, and im sure he would be more than happy to share tips with someone taking over the braintree account.
