I would politely suggest that no one asks peterfoster any questions because it will only start him off again and end up with another long thread of provocative comments by him which are nothing to do with the Iron and are all about him. Why on earth he does not stick with Chelmsford, I really do not know.

Are none of you lot interested that your preffered plans for a new shiny football ground have hit a massive road bloke then? I would have thought this big news worthy of discussion by the Braintree faithful.
We're only interested because we hope to go through the same process ourselves in the coming years and have also had some painful exerience of trying to obtain a new ground ourselves.

There are some members on the Soapbox that make sensible reading with regard to our proposed move to a new stadium, and there are others only too eager to gloat if anything related to Braintree goes wrong, but I cannot understand why Braintree issues are even discussed in such detail on the Soapbox. Of course we are interested and concerned about the problems occurring with our proposed move , but are content to leave it in the capable hands of our Chairman and the board of directors to do what is best for the Club. By the way does anyone know what a "road bloke" is ??

We could grumble all day on here like the chavs on that soapbox of yours, but that in itself won't move the club forward.

Aren't you interested in reading the detailed postings relating to this matter which Lee and Barry have contributed on the Chelmsford City forum this morning, then, jimbo....

Can't speak for Jimbo obviously but I think you'll find the massive majority on here and at Cressing Road are totally behind the Chairman and Board of Directors, we know there are issues to overcome with the proposed new ground but we also know they are doing everything they can to make it happen.
I understand the concept of unity, working together and faith in board members is alien to you, so just trust us on the matter!

Why the hostility, dav, when all I've done today is to provide a platform on the Chelmsford City forum for Lee and Barry to make detailed contributions about the ground situstion and alerted the members of this messageboard thereto....

Dav, the reason the massive? majority on here are behind the Chairman and Board of Directors is because those that don't agree with what they want to do or don't want to do are banned, as a local friend of mine found when posting on the direction the club was going! If the Club wants the support of the Council it should try and make more of an effort to be part of the Community i.e involve children and parents in a sport that belongs to the town and not just a few ego's at BTFC !

It's all about opinions of course, but I'm afraid I don't agree with that. I think our Club does do its bit to be part of our community. We have youth, reserves, ladies, and supporters teams as well as the first team. The youngsters can have a season ticket for just £1 a game to get in to league matches and this year the Club has reduced admission to just £3 for youngsters who don't want a season ticket.
We should not forget that all involved at the Club from the Board down to the gatemen are volunteers who give their all (and more) for the love of the Club/game. I realise that it is easy for faceless people to throw sticks and stones, but my advice to anyone who is not happy with the way our Club operates is to lend a hand and try to make things at Braintree even better!

I fully support Iron Webbo. Having belonged to a number of clubs and associations, I know that there are always a dedicated few who seem to do all the hard work and keep the whole thing going, whereas the majority sit back and are happy to enjoy the benefits of belong to the club. We, the fans, are the community and the more we join in and help in any way we can, the better for the club. However, a regular walker around the Braintree town centre, it is very odd that a stranger to the town would hardly know that Braintree have one of the most successful non-league teams in Essex. If there are any posters or leaflets to hand out or any plans for an event in George Yard, I would be more than willing to help out.

Are you the poster who made a similar allegation recently? I reiterate that you should back up your claim, instead of operating anonymously from behind your Computer. I await your personal message giving details. No one gets banned for criticising. Moreover, this is an Independent fans forum that works with the club and is not an Instrument of it. One thing that could earn a member a ban or exclusion is if they persistently make incorrect allegations or defamatory remarks as to how my moderators or me are administering this forum.

I'm 100% behind the board here, not because I'm frightened of being banned on the message board, to be honest I couldnt care less.
I'm behind them because they are right for the club and making the correct decisions. Look at the budget cuts at the end of last season, most people from then wrote us off and we were hugely mocked on the soapbox. We've now scored 9 goals in 4 games, playing attractive football with a good young squad.
peterfoster honestly hasnt got a clue guys, not even the Chelmsford City fans are that keen on him. I think it's been we ignore his boring pointless points from now on, let him say as he wishes until he slips up, says something he shouldnt, and is banned.

I have said it before and I will now say it again and then shut up. If people ignore Peterfoster's comments and refuse to respond to his questions (which is my policy), then hopefully he will get bored and go back to the Chelmsford forum. The information he gave at the start of this thread is available elsewhere and the discussion has been useful, as long as we, the true Iron fans, discuss it amongst ourselves and avoid his attempts to start arguments.

Further update on site for those interested. We're a bit confused by this week's statement as it contradicts the developers' submission.
