The story is ozbrit it's the end of an era for me, after preparing the pitch for saturdays opener i'm off to pastures new. I have secured a job in Gloucestershire so i can be wiv my fiance Mandy and her son Liam. Ye course i will miss the club i have been there man and boy and ye it was my life but things change and i have found happiness away from football but Braintree Town will always be held fondly in my heart . i would like to take this oppertunity to thank every1 for the help and support i have recieved over the years there r 2 many to mention but u all know who u r . It wasnt the way id have liked to depart and would have loved to offer the club more notice but as they want me to start monday and not knowing in the current climate when the next offer will b made it is 2 good of a oppertunity to miss. i would like to publically thank Lee for being so understanding of my situation as this makes it easier for me coz id like to think when returning to Braintree to visit my bruv that i can come and watch the lads and feel as welcome as i always have. well thats the story and all that remains to be said is thank u all we have had sum bad times but i think u will agree the good time well outweigh the bad .......thanks again to every1

Dear, oh dear. Just when I thought he was making short sensible posts and there was no need to take any action again, it is starting to look as though he is going to revert to his previous style. The forum has been back to normal (talking about the team and football and not arguing with him) and it looks as though he is going to spoil it all again. Please go away - why do you want to come onto our forum just in order to argue?

just like to say i am sorry andy is leaving braintree ftball club as i no he was good at his job and gave his job 100% commitment alwaz.. but im not sorry i met him u may have lost a good groundsman ..but i have gained the most caring genuine loyalist person iv ever met.. i no he will be sad to leave braintree ftball club and also esexx itself..but sumtimes in life u have to think of urself and ur own happiness ..and with a lot of thought he has made his mind up to be with me ..which im so glad as iv never met anyone quite like him and i no we will be happy ..i do hope all his mates and directors..etc.. will be happy for him aswell ..and understand that he has to think of his own happiness ..he has nothing against the club or anyone else its just came to a time in his life where he has to move on so i hope everyone understands that and is happy for him ..also wud like to thank the ones involved who let andy have time off 4 interviews cus without that help he wudnt have been able to look 4 a job.. so i wish braintree town club all the best 4 the future

Good luck to AG in pastures new. A decent bloke and a reliable servant to Braintree FC over many years. Also knows a bit about football being a Spurs supporter!

Sad for us that Andy the pitch master is going. It just wont be the same without him at home games. He could never sit still, it was just like a dad waiting for the baby to be born!! Sit down Andy, its only bl**dy grass. Still as he says, there is more to life than football, even if it does not always feel like it. I vote we have a framed pic of him in the club house for posterity.

Sorry to go off the Andy topic but...
just read on Non League Daily that Danny is here for 3 months, the BBC stated one. Iron Webbo could you clear this up?
