Last seasons scorer of 14 Blue squ south goals MAY be joining the Iron. A braintree lad I understand who is very quick and will be the ideal partner for one of the big target man guy/marks/power. A good signing in my opinion. Welcome home David and good luck in a long and successful career with the Iron.
To answer the earlier question about Danny Green Tom informs me that he is here for 3 months.
Anyone Know where SAM LECHMERE and PHIL STARKEY were today ?
Special mention goes to my man of the match Nathan M who justs get better and better all the time. Well done on a top drawer performance Nathan.
And what a goal from King Brad today pick it out. See as much of you tomorrow for the ladies game in aid of a very very good cause.

oh and add Justin Hazell to the 'where were they?' list. How many games has he actually played for us?

He did actually impress me a lot every time I have seen him against us and I am sure there is a valid reason why DB departed and without knowing the fully story it is folly to speculate otherwise. I simply thought it was because he could not be guaranteed a start which clearly was the case at Thurrock. Lets get behind the lad as we al know confidence = goals as a striker.

Meanwhile, Patterson (pictured) spoke of the reasons behind Dave Bryant leaving the Ccub. He said: "I feel I should tell our supporters of what has happened with regards to David Bryant.
“He called me last Monday to say he was unhappy not to be in the side. I will always discuss my reasons with the players and we agreed to speak about it after training on the Tuesday night face to face. He told me he wanted to play every week and had been offered this by another club. I was a little taken aback as we had received no approach from any other club, which is required under FA rules. I explained to David that he was one of four forwards at the club and nobody was guaranteed to start every week. I also said he would be given a chance and should he play well enough and score a few goals, then he would give himself a very good chance to play more often than not. Despite my efforts, it appeared David had made his mind up to go elsewhere.
“The next day, surprisingly enough, I get the chairman from another Blue Square South club on the phone as if it's okay to illegally approach our players and thinking we should just waive our right to a seven-day approach!
“I explained that they were not to talk to David and I had spoken with him earlier in the day and it appeared he might stay and have a go after all. This wasn't adhered to as I had the same chap back on the phone later that day to say David wanted to join them.
“I find their actions in this to be disrespectful and they have not acted in a proper way at all. David just turned up on Thursday and bought his gear back, although no other club are supposed to talk to him until next Wednesday!
“There is little point in reporting the other club to the FA as nothing will happen." __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________
That is what I was referring too, but hey it's his second spell under a new manager. I wish him the best of luck and hope to see him bang the goals in

Not quite. As stated on the Club site, we've put a seven day approach in for a player and can only sign him when those seven days have lapsed. Any announcement prior to that is incorrect.

I'm sure I saw him warming up with the subs just before the game against Billericay. So much so I questioned it with you Ash! I reckon it was my dodgy eyes....but it kind of makes sense after reading this thread!

Just to add I thought he looked quite sharp against us last season. And from what I can remember he scored a rather tasty consolation goal at Cressing Road in a 3-1 defeat.

As with before, until told otherwise by the club I always think its safest to know nothing, regardless what anyone thinks they may or may not have seen. The rules are clear, we have made a seven day approach for a player and until that seven day period has expired we have not signed anyone. As for the article from a couple of years ago cm7, just be careful not to trust everything you read in the papers, if you get my drift

Dave Bryant has always looked a good player to me every time I have seen him play & thats quite a few times. Not only does he puts in bags of effort but has some skill.
