From chronicle website......
BRAINTREE Town have added 26-year-old experienced defender Brad Thomas to their squad, but manager Rod Stringer says he will continue to take his time about bringing any more new players to Cressing Road.
"I'm pleased to get Brad in because I know what he's about, I've watched him in training with us and he knows he's got to keep up that desire and hunger to want to play for us," said Stringer.
East London born Thomas started his football career under Barry Fry at Peterborough United in 2002 and he has become a much travelled player with the Iron now his 14th club.
"I'm not worried about such a track record and in fairness most of those were out on loans at other clubs," said Stringer. "But I've been impressed with his attitude and at 6ft 2ins he will give us height at the back."
Thomas, who ended last season on loan at Hendon from Sutton United, also played seven games for Heybridge Swifts in 2004.
"I'm still on the lookout and we've several new faces with us training and playing in our games, but overall I'm happy with the way the squad is building," he declared. "But any player who comes here knows that they will have to fight for their place – there's no guarantees for anyone.
"They will also have to want to play for this club and show the right desire – there's no comfort zone – and we will be playing attacking, attractive football."

Good signing, i was impressed with Brad Thomas and Matt Paine at centre back against Gillingham. I know this has been published in the paper but hopefully the official website or Iron Webbo can confirm the signing.
