Like you saw it on the Conf South forum. Ryan did well for us, but I think we've got just as good a replacement lined up - i've heard good things about Ryan Doyle.

Had a good first half to the season but in my opinion faded and never reached his potential- in my opinion not as good as Billy Burgess was season before!!! All the best to him next season at Staines, let's hope the lads from Aveley are more than up to the challenge!!

"A very satisfied Cordery said: “I’d spoken to the previous management team there at Braintree, I know Robbie Garvey and Jason Broom well, and knowing that players may become available upon their departure in the last weeks, I specifically asked about Ryan."Good old Garvs and Broomie!

They were asked for an opinion and gave it, just trying to help a friend out. And with all the new defenders we have signed maybe Ryan didnt want to stay anyway, he's left so lets wish him good luck.

Yeah good luck Ryan. I have no doubts he'll do well at Staines. I thought he was a superb player (so much so I voted him as my player of the year) and am dissapointed to see him go. I'm starting to wonder how many of last years squad will be gracing the Cressing Road turf next season (playing in a Braintree shirt!).

His comments about Braintree's style of play was also interesting. However, I would have thought the change of manager would have been the reason to stay, rather than go. Mind you, travelling from west London to North Essex is madness in my opinion.

I've always been in a minority thinking that Peters was overated, athletic and with a bit of pace sure, but his distribution and use of the ball was very poor IMHO. So I think his comments about style of play are quite interesting, braintree did get it forward early last season and there's nothing wrong with that but everytime I saw Peters he struggled with his passing but now we know why It was the Braintree long ball tactics that caused it. Don't worry he's replacable.

Dont remember one negative thing being said about Ryan while he was with us.
I thought he was one of our better players last season, cant remember him having a bad game. His pace going forward will be missed, nice lad too, always up for a chat. Hopefully Ryan Doyle matches up
