Of particular interest to my fellow O's Iron Webbo and Jimbo, Alex has today penned a two year contract with Leyton Orient ;D

It's great to see that, having perfected his 'trade' at Cressing Road, our Alex has finally reached the zenith of the game. I'm sure he will score goals aplenty at the Matchroom Stadium.
Alas, I suppose it will be down hill for young Alex from there, hopefully after many years of finding the back of the net!. ;o) Well done and good luck Al!

He's become a bit of a journey man of recent times but he always manages to score a few goals wherever he is.
Good luck to him

Scored loads for us. Would be delighted to see him back at Cressing Road after getting The O's in the Premier League!

What a surprise! I went to the Wycombe game against the O's when Wycombe had to win to stay up and it was Alex's last game for them. A fellow Iron supporter and I had to suppress our cheers when Alex went forward towards goal. However, like a lot of strikers at that level he is very much dependant on the kind of service he gets and as a result he did not get many chances on that day. He looked a little bulkier than before, but otherwise was the old Alex we know and love. True he has moved around a bit, but the supporters like him wherever he has gone and whenever I have talked to him, he always been pleasant and willing to spend time with an old Iron. I am sure we will see him at some of our home games, perhaps mid-week, if he is not occupied with a match himself.
Actually there have been quite a few ex-Orient players who have had connections with Braintree over the years and, with the O's having a new manager, there would be no harm asking if they would like a game, even if it is some of their trialists.

I have it on good authority that Alex, and his lawyers, are refutting the claim that he likes to spend his free time in the company of old irons. It would come as no suprise to see Jimbo dragged through the courts for slander :0)

Oh dear, I've been out of the East End too long and forgotten the rhyming slang we used to use. Still if I end up in Court, it looks (from other posts on the forum) as though I will be bumping into lots of our good friends from Bishops Stortford!
