Bromley Res won 2-1 at Witham tonight, even though they had Jerome Sobers in their line-up, and have therefore pipped the Iron Reserves to the Capital League - East Division title. Bromley started well and looked like they would win easily, and took an early lead through a fluke strike. Witham came back into it after the break and deservedly levelled before Bromley got the winner on 75 minutes. Witham could have scored with the last touch of the game when a far post header went inches wide. If it had gone in we would have won the league. So the reserves are runners up in two competitions this season. Congratulations to Mark and his players and backroom staff. A splendid effort.
