Saturday 15th MayKickoff: 11am Venue: Cressing Road BRAINTREE TOWN STAFF v BRAINTREE TOWN SUPPORTERS The fourth annual battle for the Alec Stewart / Peter Holloway Trophy takes place on Saturday morning, with for the first time the Supporters starting as overwhelming favourites. The first two games were less than even affairs with the Staff triumphing 6-0 and 4-0 but last year was much closer (mainly down to the ringers in the supporters side), the staff coming from behind to scrape a 2-1 win (yes Nick we know you scored the winner!). With the number of genuine 'staff' to choose from greatly reduced, the staff are expected to have a weaker lineup than before, whilst rumour has it the Supporters are set to again break with the spirit of the game and field players with no association to the club

Er I think you will find the rules state as long as the supporter has been to the last two games of the season. He can play. If the ringer was Scot he was at the last two games and more. However your keeper was not a member of staff. saucepan kettle comes to mind.

Thats a new one. Think the supporters side will be struggling for a 6 a side team if those rules are adhered to this week. Can the referee ask to see their ticket stubs for St. Albans and Newport before letting them play?
There will be a free 12 page colour programme available at this game, while stocks last.

Could do with a couple of volunteers to run the line.
Flag waving experience and an ability to purchase the match referee strong drink an advantage (but not essential!)
Ta.
PS, almost forgot, teamsheets at 10.30 please managers!

I hear Steve Good played?
Is he back at Braintree in any role or was he just making up numbers? I know he finished the season over at Redbridge

Goody played, and scored in the 6-2 win for the staff. He helped Sammo out at the end of the season for the reserves but, as with everything, with a new manager coming in nobody quite knows what the setup for next season is going to be just yet and Goody will have options as well!
