Based on the league finish last season and the signings made so far, I reckon those odds are spot on, To be fair if Braintree finish top Five it would be a good acheivement with a new manager and a younger less experienced squad, (future signings pending of course), At the end of the day the odds mean nothing but the bookies are seldom far out.
I'm looking forward to a few visits next season to see Garvey's hungrier team.

Tis tru 'O' that them there bookies are rarely out, but two years ago we were 33's and favourites for the drop and, er, finished in them there play-orfs. Let em worry about the rest of em. We'll finish nowhere, unless ...

I'm gonna put £10 on Newport County to win it. I think them, Welling & Dover have assembled really good squads

Newport's drag factor is their manager. He applies for every job going and hates it there. Welling are not particularly financially stable and there appears to be a bit of unrest in the Dover board room. So many of our fellow clubs talk the talk, but are petrified of the cost of going up. My money's on the top five being between: Eastleigh, Havant, Staines, Woking and one surprise - a club with a bit of play-off form, twice in the last three years, that sort of thing!

I still think those 3 clubs have assembled great squads though and will certainly be up there come May next year. We're in with a good shout at the top 8 with another 4 more players coming in. Cant wait for the friendlies now

Possibly, but history tells us that Patto thought that he had assembled a great squad last season ... and we were lucky to finish fourteenth.
It will take time for this club to progress, but I can't help feeling that there is not one club in this league better positioned or placed to progress over the next few years. Financially stable, owns its own ground and with a new stadium coming.
Now, more than ever, the future is yella (or orange if you're JW!)

Patto may or may not have had a good squad, but he had know idea how to manage it!

Someone who's been with the club a good deal longer than Garvs. Don't forget he hasn't been around the Conf Sth scene much in recent times.
