Tuesday evening we welcome Dartford to the Rare Breed Meat Company Stadium. The Kent side who are normally annual promotion contenders at this level, currently find themselves in danger of relegation, currently occupying twentieth spot in the VNLS one point ahead of Taunton Town who have four games in hand.
After such a poor run of results manager Alan Dowson was sacked in January and has been replaced by Adrian Pennock. Ady played most of his professional career as a central defender at AFC Bournemouth and Gillingham. His managerial career began with Welling United in 2005; he also had spells at Forest Green Rovers, Gillingham and Barrow before moving to Singapore in 2019 to be manager of Brunei, winning the League title in his first season in charge.
To date they have P 36 W 10 D 8 L 18 GF 48 GA 57 Points 38. On the road their record is

The went out of both cup competitions at the first stage in both, losing two-three at home to Welling United in the F A Cup and nil-one at home to Maidstone United in the F A Trophy.
Leading scorers this season are Luke Coulson with seven goals ND Harvey Bradbury with five goals. Former Iron midfielder Luke Allen is still on the Darts books.

The last home win was on 9 January 2021when the Iron won two-one, Percy Kiangebeni and Taofiq Olomowewe scoring the Braintree goals, Barnum-Bobb was red carded for the Darts on 82 minutes, with Chris Dickson scoring a consolation penalty on 85 minutes.
There hasn’t been any improvement in form for the Darts since Pennock arrived, having played nine, winning one (one-two) at bottom placed Dover Athletic, drawing one and losing seven, the most recent defeat coming on last Saturday where they lost four-one at Torquay United.
The Iron will be looking to get back to winning ways after two consecutive draws and with former Darts player and now Braintree captain Baris Altintop on board, the lads will be out to strengthen their play-off hopes against a beleaguered Darts side.
