P 9 W 3 D 2 L 4 GF GA 14 Points 11 Thirteen of the goals they conceded came in their first four home games, they have since managed four clean sheets out of the last five at home.
Their home wins came against Aveley (2-0), Truro City (4-0) and Havant & Waterlooville (2-1)
In the F A Cup they made it into the 1st round proper, starting off with a two-nil win at Hayes & Yeading, drew nil-nil at Salisbury City winning the replay three-nil, then drew two-two at Ebbsfleet winning the replay two-nil and then met EFL2 side Grimsby Town at home and earned a creditable one-one draw before losing the replay seven-two. They are still in the F A Trophy having overcoming Farnborough two-one at home last Saturday.
So far they have seventeen different goal scorers with Jon Goddard leading the pack with seven goals and George Alexander has six goals.
Our last visit to Slough was on 29 April 2023 with the game ending one-one. George Alexander on nine minutes fired the home side ahead, Baris Altintop levelled on sixty five minutes. Braintree’s ability to bounce back came to the fore again on Tuesday evening with a well-deserved win at Dartford. Two second half goals form Aaron Blair coming after the Darts had been reduced to ten men just before half time clinching the points to take Braintree up to sixth place in the VNLS table.
Another plastic pitch awaits them which we have struggled on at times this season and Slough’s last three home games have brought them much needed victories, so expect another close encounter.
