With a bit of luck they'll be launching satnav in Gloucestershire soon, that should help.

Have to agree with some of their posters on their forum, I didn't know exactly where Cheltenham was until they (briefly) went into the Football League, always thought West of Oxford & East of Bristol. Everyone knows Essex.

I have family who live in and around Cheltenham. I love the Cotswolds and some of the great town and villages around there. Unfortunately, Whaddon Road is in a less salubrious part of Cheltenham.

I was born and bred in Cheltenham, but have lived longer in Braintree now. I remember when a bad gale blew away the away end at Whaddon Rd. They should remember their own roots when they were worse than Gloucester City in the old Southern League and not be so condescending now.

Whilst I agree our fans shouldn't be condescending and remember where we came from, I take umbrage with your comment about Gloucester City. They had two seasons in 80/81 and 81/82 where they finished above us, but other than that they haven't finished higher in the league than us since 1969. I think it's a bit unfair to expect fans to remember 46 years ago, especially as the vast majority of our fans didn't even follow the club then.

Should be pretty easy for Cheltenham, we're only a pub team from Essex - we know who we are.

Good point well made Sirobin, but sadly I do remember those dark far-off days when Gloucester City were above Cheltenham, and not with any joy. As an old Cheltonian, I still believe that Cheltenham is the best town in the world and would move back tomorrow if the chance allowed. I'm really looking forward to the game tonight and wish I could be there. As for loyalty...I shall be cheering the pub team from Essex who have done so much good for this division.
