I have a good feeling about this. We have been playing really well away from home and I fancy us to win. I see Jordon Cox has gone out on a 3 month (initially) loan to Concord, and Charlie Strutton has now gone to Slough. COYI!

Will certainly be a match where any few chances we get will need to be put away if we're gonna win

Good luck at big spending Eastleigh. We'll be up on the big bird in the sky flying time from Heathrow is 3.20.

Unchanged side from last week, unusual for DC. Last week a winning side was changed, this week, a losing side stays the same.

Another great away win; time to start booking coaches so we get to see more victories and goals! Trying to work out this bit of BBC text commentary "Offside, Braintree Town. Sean Marks tries a through ball, but Sean Marks is caught offside." How can he be offside from his own pass?

Haha dbbn bbc have been doing that for ages with everyone! I don't get it either, it's just as strange as In previous seasons according to bbc stats neither side in any league are awarded any corners! Excellent start to a very tough october. I do believe as things stand we have the meanest defence in the league too with surely the best away record

Had high hopes for promotion did the Spitfires, it looks as if we downed them. Another great result - onwards and upwards.

A game of hard endeavour and few chances but the Iron did enough to deserve the win. The first goal came from our best play in the first harf when Dan Sparkes was felled as he ran with ball into the box. Kenny D dutifully put the ball into the net. The second goal came just after a period of sustained pressure by the Iron as Sparkes put a low cross into the box for Michael Cheek to run onto and slot away. Our defenders today were the real hero's as they let very little pass by and they make it very hard to pick a man of the match.

Was it not Cheek that was scythed down for the penalty?? Great backs to wall performance giving Eastleigh precious little in the way of chances...... Bring on the free scoring Cheltenham on Tuesday night!!

Another excellent away performance from this TEAM of ours. No MOTM for me as each and everyone played their part. Just wish we could put in the same performances at home and then we would really be flying high.
Bring on Grimsby!!

"If the Braintree manager applied for the Eastleigh manager job I hope he made the short list. He did an amazing job at Concord Rangers and has transformed Braintree into a challenging side compared with the team we put 5 goals past last season. If Toddy doesn't get it he would be a superb second choice."
From the Eastleigh forum. Does he know something we don't?

I think they are just fishing or floundering around in desperation. It will come as no surprise that Dan's name will get linked to vacant posts as did Dev's as the Iron continue to rise. I think that Dan Cowley has embarked on a bit of a personal project with the club as he tries to implement the theories of his guru Dave Braylesford into practice. If he did leave the club mid season it would be a massive upheaval to himself and his family and his school where I believe he is a talented sports coach and teacher. Its an exciting time for the club and we should be proud of the way the team have performed over the first quarter of the season. As has been said before we are now approaching a run of tough games so we should keep our feet on the ground and get behind the team at all times. COYI

COYI Plus the Cowley's being only a few months into their two year contract, Eastleigh would need deep pockets to compensate for that. Amazing how the demeanour of a clubs fans changes when the cash gets splashed. We were fininshing 6th in the Connie national season 2013/14 and they weren't even in the league. We get a rash of injuries which stuffs up the season and they score a big win against us and all of a sudden they think they're a football league club or something. I can see the duo moving onwards and upwards one day, but I doubt that it'd be with an Eastleigh.

I've been on their forum too n that was in effect just one of their supporters offering they're rather wishful thinking viewpoint! Ofcourse at some point in the future the cowleys will move on - nothing lasts forever, but I agree that it's not likely to be Eastleigh
