Had an horrendous journey up to Chester and the coach arrived just after kick off. We were queueing to get in when they scored so not a good start to the afternoon.
1st half we lined up 4-5-1 with Simeon on his own up front and instead of playing it on the ground to him we used the high ball too much and their defence won almost
every ball. 2nd half we switched to 4-4-2 and were much better and dominated the game for long periods but once again were unable to finish off good approach play.
We should have had a penalty when Michael Cheek was upended in the box, but the Ref waved it away as earlier he had gone down in the box after a nothing challenge and
was IMO lucky not to be booked for diving. He is still adapting to playing at a higher level and lets hope he finds his scoring boots soon. Up front Sparksy was a constant
threat and really should have equalised when clean through one on one with their keeper but went for power when a placement would have scored. In defence Remy was a tower
of strength winning almost every aerial challenge, and in the 2nd half setting up several moves from midfield. All in all a disappointing star to the season as we did well
enough to at least earn a draw.
