I understand the Club are hoping to appoint a new manager in the next 24hrs in time to meet and talk to the players on Thursday evening. Who that may be remains to be seen, although personally I hope its Jamie Day.

Jamie Day did well on what can only be described as a similarly small budget at Welling..... Then he went to Ebbsfleet and couldn't spend enough to get them promoted and ultimately paid the price but I guess he has had a good pay off..... If it is Jamie Day then I would expect him to do a good job as the funds are on a similar level to those he juggled at Welling!! I fear that we may lose a fair few of the squad to wherever Devonshire pitches up but the club will live to fight another season in the top tier of non league football!!

It's important that we get a Manager in sooner rather than later so the new guy can build some sort of rapport with players before other clubs can poach them. The Manager new would traditionally bring in a few favoured players of his own to merge with the existing squad. So even with the inevitable departures I don't see any reason to suppose we'll be left short of great players come the friendlies.
