Our Trophy opponants appear to be the current Man City of the local non league scene!! 2 players in from Gillingham 2 players in from Cambridge 1 from Dagenham
Just hoping these lads don't have the time to gel together and we hit the ground running against them!!

Looks like everyone in the Gravesend & Northfleet district are climbing aboard the bandwagon, we see it all the time in football.

Not to mention the player from Wycombe and the player from Northampton. Looking forward to this game. We now have 4 coaches booked so expect 300-400 to turn up!

Looks like everyone in the Gravesend & Northfleet district are climbing aboard the bandwagon, we see it all the time in football. We've had plenty of times where we've struggled, so we're all making the most of it while we can - new stadium planned as well (or rather current one being rebuilt). Just thankful for the planned Paramount theme park on our doorstep which attracted the Kuwaiti's in the 1st place!

Having a look at there web site, So Far 4 coaches Full of Fans plus Lot's by car. So should be a big crowd if Braintree Fan's turn out. So come along and cheer the IRON ON against the Manchester City of Non League Football.

We can beat anyone on our day, but on this day Ebbsfleet must be favourite with the bookies - over to you Kev.

Will be up the road at Col U along with 1600 other hardy but slightly mad O's fans for another instalment of the "Italian Job" but good luck today in what is a massive game for the BTFC.
Ignore the bookies odds and what division Ebbsfleet are currently in any side managed by Jamie Day will be well organised and very decent and it is a massive opportunity them too, they will have a good following and be right up for it.
Hope the run of the ball goes Braintree's way and I can be there for the next round.

It appears that neither BBC Kent or Essex are doing a commentary - I searched their websites and found nothing, tho' BBC Kent is doing Dartford v Halifax. The BBC commentaries website has not bee updated - it's still listing last nights Cambridge v Man U. I'm stuck at home with a fearful cold else I'd be at the match, so does anyone know of anything?

The ref clearly read your post, 1672, and felt sorry for you, so found an excuse to postpone!

BBC Essex commentaries have no rhyme nor reason to them 1672. Glenn Speller the sports editor once told me the station would be providing them whenever the opponents own BBC weren't, as they didn't agree with the way that other BBC stations double up. In the previous round at Gosport, BBC Essex were there calling the game and so were BBC Radio Solent from a Gosport perspective. Last week BBC Essex were doing their thing versus FGR, but then again so were BBC Gloucestershire, who incidentally cover all FGR first team games. Fast-forward seven days and the next round on from Gosport and neither Kent or Essex have scheduled to cover the match. BBC Essex are all over the place when it comes to Braintree match coverage. In fact I'd go as far to say that they only turn up when it suits them.

I do hope we Ebbsfleet fans do not have another wasted journey on Tuesday evening. Only there is some rain forecast on Monday morning for a couple of hours, can your pitch take it.? UP THE FLEET.

I do feel sorry for the Ebbsfleet fans' wasted journey but I have some sympathy with the referee. If he'd allowed the game to go on and a player had broken his leg because of the conditions, then what would we be saying about him?
Judging from the chairman's description of yesterday, it seems it was frost rather than rain that was the problem and as the temperature is not due to go below 2 degrees over the next couple of days (according to BBC weather), we ought to be all right for Tuesday.

Looking at the forecast the weather's set fair today and tonight. Hope it's a good game and most of all that it's IRON who advance.

3 coach loads of fans plus lot's of car's from Ebbsfleet.
Time for IRON to make a name for themselves.
