Understand from the Gaffa that the first team don't have a midweek game. If you need a football fix. Get yourself over to Long Melford FC tomorrow (Tuesday) for league cup action against Premier division side Brantham Athletic as the young Iron hope to pull off a shock result. You may even see some players you recognize. Come and give our reserves a shout. You know you want too. braintreeforum.proboards.com/board/4/reserves-youth

Great performance from lads 2-2 at full time then extra time still 2-2. Iron win 4-2 on pen's The boy's are growing up beating a Premier Team. (Would have liked to see more people supporting these boys, who could be our future. ).

Great to see you Barry and Alan last night, as you say shame a few more didn't come over, we suffered our lowest attendance of the season, but pulled off the biggest shock of the round, a match report been added a couple of mins ago. (Reserves sub forum)
Fantastic from the boys last night.

Congrats to the reserves on a good win. I do question how many fans are going to trek all the way to Melford to watch them play though. Especially when no discount is being offered to season ticket holders. I live Gt Cornard and would attend if I was given some financial encouragement.

Unfortunately we still have referee's (match officials) to pay, £5 for Eastern Counties football is very good, I visited Brantham Athletic when they played Hadliegh United in the league and that was £7.
Out of interest what discount would entice you to watch the Reserves when the first team are not playing midweek? The reason I ask is we have Cornard at home in a local derby in a couple of weeks. (Tu 7/10) (I am not sure if first team playing that midweek)
