Following an impressive 9 goals in 14 games early in the 2011/12 season, Bakare joined Conference South club Chelmsford City, in a free transfer on 19 October 2011.[5] He continued to impress at his new club, scoring 5 goals in 10 games, which earnt Bakare a move to Football League side, Macclesfield Town on 17 January 2012.
Macclesfield Town Bakare signed on a free transfer,[6] and made his first appearance as a substitute against Swindon Town on 21 January 2012. He was however limited to substitute appearances at Macclesfield, not starting a single game, and was released by the club, following their relegation at the end of the 2011/2012 season, making only 9 appearances.[7] His last game was against Southend United on 5 May 2012.
Southport Conference National club Southport took Bakare on trial in July 2012. After a single appearance in a friendly against Skelmersdale United it was announced manager Liam Watson had signed the player to a contract for the 2012/13 season at the club's AGM on 27 July 2012.
Droylsden (loan) In October 2012 he joined Droylsden on loan[8] and scored on his club debut on 27 October as the club beat Colwyn Bay.

That's the fella. Played alright alongside Cox. Won a penalty and took it himself even though Cox was on a hat-trick. Stand out for me was a little winger (no.11) forget his name.

Team: Nick Hamann (Sub - Carl Pentney), Ryan Case, Louis Cutajar (Sub - Joe Maybanks), Emmanual Monthe, Allan Massey, James Mulley, Shaun Preddie, Kenny Davis, Jordan Cox, Michael Bakare, Cherno Mendy. Unused Subs - Joe Moore, George Pullen and one other Academy player.
H.T. 0-1 F.T. 0-4 Goals - Cox 2 (8 mins, 69 mins), Bakare 2 (72 mins, 1 pen - 89 mins) attendance 94
The other players - Pentney...at Chelmsford last season. 1 sub league app for Leicester, was at Colchester without making a league app and on loan at 10 clubs including Stortford. Case - Had a 1 year contract at AFC Bournemouth in 2012-13. Last season at Hampton, Havant & Dorchester. Right back in first half, left back in second, and also played in 2nd half at Melford. Cutajar - a current Maltese Under 21 international. Got his 3rd cap v Sweden as recently as March but clubs since being released from Norwich Academy after 6 years have been Diss, Lowestoft and Norwich United. Monthe - age 19. Centre back released by QPR in January. Had a short spell on loan at Southport. Preddie - ex-Hanworth Villa Mendy - age 19. After being released by AFC Wimbledon has had the odd game at West Brom, Dulwich, Oldham Res, QPR and Grays. Involved with Ghana at U17 and U20 level.
A dull first half, but we got into gear after the break. In my opinion Monthe, Bakare and Mendy are worth another look.
