Will Braintree Town FC support this ridiculous idea? From what I hear the premiership clubs/FA will make us support it by plying lower league clubs with cash incentives!

I bloody hope we don't!!!! Dyke is a (dic) if he thinks that this is the answer, better coaching, better facilities, less matches more training!!!

Ridiculous idea from Greg Dyke who once was the non-executive Chairman of Brentford for a number of years. However, he has always been more interested in the financial aspects of the game and it has showed in the contempt he has for lower league and conference clubs. Dreams will be shattered for clubs like Braintree who have steadily progressed through the pyramid with a dream to play in the football league and will have their path blocked now.
Why should we allow Premier League clubs with all their money to push us around, the Premier league didn't take part in the consultation anyway so they can stick it. Call me old school but back in the sixties the old first and second divisions as it was then, the reserve teams played in the old Football Combination. Didn't we win the World Cup during that period.

Wouldn't these proposals currently see Braintree as part of this new league 3? There would surely be more hype about that division than anything outside the premier league were it to happen, as well as plenty of people turning up to see established clubs play.
I hate the idea personally, but I think a team like Braintree may be one if very few current clubs that it could actually benefit?

Not sure where the benefit would be though?
Braintree Town vs Chelsea Reserves played on a Saturday for instance when Chelsea first team are at home at the Bridge how many would that put on the gate?
