I'm on holiday at Harwich in a Premier Inn, I paid the ground a visit at around 11am today, I entered from the car park and walked round the perimeter of the pitch, the condition of the pitch didn't look too bad, thank the lord, after looking at the pitch I found it hard to believe that 6 home games in a row were postponed due to bad weather earlier in the season.

I think we're slowly bringing you round Wills. We're a modest club who many claim are playing above their station, but that's the romance of football. As we've said all along the pitch would inevitably dry out when the horrendous rains let up. I believe the club are under no illusions, clay is never going to be a great base for a football pitch.
It's a pity you couldn't make it for a home game. Your comic relief while not appreciated by all, did amuse some of us.

You should've told us you were coming Wills; so many people would love to shake your hand!

It's an old Essex custom Wills, because we are now underwater for Three months of the football season we swim around Braintree looking for idiots from Somerset(or Chelmsford) and we gently shake them by the throat before inviting them to walk around the perimeter of the ground and check out our drainage. You walked around the ground without letting us know which day you were coming which is very rude. Anyhow hope you had a lovely holiday in Harwich (the costa del sol of Essex) did you take up my suggestion and visit Jaywick?

Hi Wills So let's get this straight. You live on Somerset; you go on holiday to harwich where you stay at the Premier Inn a d the highlight of your holiday is driving 35 miles to an empty non league football ground, where you can see it is no longer water logged.
Is your nick name 'Party starter?'

Should have extended your holiday Wills and taken in Luton on Saturday, then you would have seen what the Iron is all about.
