Bugger. The ninetieth minute! I hope the journey back isn't too much of an ordeal.

Yes indeed rustynail and it sounded like we had the measure of Gateshead virtually all match, three times Marksy had goal-bound attempts cleared off the line, but we sure paid the penalty in conceding that late late goal. The Heed are a side who are now up to third spot and they know how important it is to go all out to steal that late winner - it's what all top sides do.
Having said that, I felt this was going to be a real toughie coming only 40 or so hours after our lads trooped off the pitch Thurs night.
A little bit longer between now and Tuesday, so hopefully the players will be over today's disappointment and raring to get at Southport.

Disappointing to lose, especially to that late goal but, considering the schedule we're working through, our lads played well and were by far the better of the two sides.
Still, we can look forward to trips to Southport and Halifax now.

It happens so often one teams ontop throughout a match but don't convert possession and or chances into goals n then.....ouch!! But still looking on the bright side as said above a slightly longer rest till tues, the confidence and desire must be absolutely flowing through the team due to the recent results and lets not forget we have a rather decent record against southport! Anything other than a loss at Halifax Thursday will be a super result too. We've given ourselves a real chance here! COYI!!!!!!
