Going by the BBC Lincs commentary pair we just shaded the first half, but the second half coming after our four games in a week proved to be a bridge too far for the IRON.
Well done our traveling fans for making their voices heard all the way to Australia. Now we await the the return match with Lincoln after a slightly longer break than the lads had between Thurs night and today.
It'll be interesting to hear from someone who went.
I hope the boys now dust themselves down and recognise it was the crazy fixture pile up beat them as much as anything today and recharge enough to get back bright and focused to beating the Imps on Tuesday.

I thought we were comfortably on top right up until they scored their first goal - on about 68 mins? - with what appeared to be a free header from a corner. After that Lincoln bucked up a bit and caused more problems from a succession of corners. I don't see anything to worry about on Tuesday and with a few days rest think we can get our revenge at the Amlin. Stand out performer was Jakubiak who showed some neat touches up front. I have to say that I thought the Lincoln supporters were absolutely superb. On their feet and singing, with a drum, for 90+ minutes. They were a credit to their club. Had an enjoyable few hours in the City Centre before the game and noted that one of the main streets had a giant banner across it advertising the game. Team - Hamann, Peters, Habergham (Sparkes), Massey, Wells, Pain, Mulley, Isaac (Mensah), Marks, Jakubiak (Holman), Laurent. Unused subs - Daley & MacDonald. Att. 2,002 (38 from Braintree). Ref - Amy Fearn. She sent off a Lincoln player after they had gone 2-0 up.

If the Council of a City the size of Lincoln can recognise the value of supporting their club by stringing a banner across a city centre street, then I reckon a matchday banner across Bank Street could be a nice touch for our little town.
