I managed to pick up the score, but I wonder how our team looked. In view of the score and Harlow's recent form, I'll take a guess that we fielded a number of first teamers.. I look forward to hearing from someone who went..

Harlow took the lead, with Kenny Davis equalising before half time. There wasn't much to choose between the sides, though Iron were shading possession.
In the second half Jordon Cox put us ahead with a superb strike from the edge of the box, just minutes after coming on for Holman. Marks wrapped it up with a penalty. I missed the foul which led to it, although a Harlow player got a red card as a result.
Several other goalscoring opportunities were spurned as the Iron advanced to the semi-finals.
Good to see Bradley Quinton back in an Iron shirt, and he played the full 90 minutes.
The gate was about 200.
Team - McDonald, Griffiths, Peters, Geohaghon, Paine, Daley, Davis, Quinton, Mulley (Sub - Ben Long), Marks, Holman (Cox). Unused subs - Moore, Matbanks, Green.

Sounds like we stepped up when we needed to. What sort of crowd was at the Amlin tonight? Well done to the team.

George Purcell now leads the Hornchurch attack alongside Stefan Payne whom we had on loan on a season or 4 ago from Gillingham if my memory serves me correctly.Could be an interesting match, and a game against Colchester if they get past Thurrock would be a great final to determine the best TEAM in Essex. ( although we all know its the IRON)
