CAMBRIDGE MATCH - PITCH UPDATE
One step forward - one step back!
Tomorrow (Tuesday) evening's Skrill Premier Division match at home to Cambridge United will be subject to an initial 12.30pm pitch inspection. If the match referee believes that the game has a chance of going ahead, further work on the pitch will be completed, before a later inspection takes place. The Amlin Stadium ground staff worked hard today (Monday) to clear the surface water off the pitch, only for a heavy downpour earlier this evening to replace the water that had been cleared! More work will follow tomorrow but, if the game is to go ahead, we need it to stop raining. Next update tomorrow morning.

Heavy rain - where? Not Sudbury, Colchester, Chelmsford. No, just Braintree!

P***ing down again. The only game that could be played tonight is water polo. Shame after all the hard work the boys have put in to try to get the game on.

Just drove past ground on way to Witham & struggled to see the road in front! Chucking it down & no doubt water on pitch will be too deep for water polo !!
