CAMBRIDGE GAME - PITCH UPDATE
Ground staff working on the pitch - no pre-match inspection expected
The latest news from the Amlin Stadium pitch is fairly positive! What little surface water remains from this (Tuesday's) morning's rain will be cleared by our three ground staff who will be working all day on the pitch and into the evening (Happy New Year guys!) if necessary. The forecast is dry until tomorrow (Wednesday) lunchtime with light and moderate rainfall forecast thereafter. Therefore, at this time, we do not foresee the need for an early inspection and we'll update further this (Tuesday) evening and tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. Both sides are keen to play and, as mentioned below, supporters are advised to purchase tickets in advance for this match, given the expected interest, but those that do decide to 'pay on the gate' are advised to arrive in sufficient time to allow entry before kick-off at 3pm.
