10th in the league on 38 points from 24 games.... Great Joint 3rd best defensive record in the league.....superb 17th highest scorers in the league.......hmmmmmm
Looking at the last few games highlights it's not for the want of trying as chances come our way.... It's players having confidence to take a shot on and having the ability to hit the ball hard enough n accurate enough to hit the back of the net!!
Highlights exactly where we need to improve as a team and where Devs may need to strengthen in January!! Need someone in the mould of Charlie Strutton or Britt Assombalonga to lift us back up into the playoff spots!!!

Devs speaking on radio Essex recently said he told Dan Holman that he has to learn to put his foot through the ball and I think Dan has heeded his advise he certainly seemed more confident at Cambridge.
Its obviously an issue that has got the manager thinking but good quality strikers at this level are hard to attract and hard to keep.
I know that Devs puts a lot of faith in Jordan Cox but he's yet to deliver, as a young player he can only gain experience and whom better to have as coach.
After seeing Exodus come on as sub on Saturday as I said in another post if we use his obvious height and strength he gives us another option.

Jordan can throw a ball an enormous distance, which turns almost all his throw-ins into virtual corners. We should use him for just that. However, getting the ball in front of goal hasn't helped us too much lately, hence the 22 attempts on goal in the Tamworth match but only scoring twice. Glad that Devs is addressing the issue - we really need to convert more of these opportunities into goals.

The real problem comes when you can't keep clean sheets, and don't create chances.
