TAMWORTH GAME - PITCH UPDATE
All surface water removed - pitch firming up nicely
Having spoken with the ground staff earlier this evening, we are confident that tomorrow's (Saturday's) Skrill Premier Division match at home to Tamworth will go ahead without any problems. The last remaining surface water from this overnight downpour has been removed and the current breezy conditions are helping to firm up the surface. Unless there is a dramatic (as yet un-forecast) deterioration in the weather, we are confident the pitch will be fit and an early pitch inspection in the (Saturday) morning will not be needed. There will still be a small work party tomorrow (Saturday) morning from 9am to prepare for the game - if you wish to help - all are welcome to lend a hand.

No probs with the pitch barring any bad weather between now n then...... A few soft areas but with the sun on them for 5 hours will hopefully dry out!! May need a little sand but all systems go!! Let's be positive n go out there n bag 3 more points!! Come on the iron!!

Must say how well the pitch stood up today..... We have had an awful amount of rain over the past few weeks n although soft in places the pitch this time last season would've been unplayable- so credit to the guys that spend time on the pitch week in week out and the club for installing the drainage they have!!!

I shall inform bobby of the praise you steep on him. When many around give up and moan, a true Scott moans and gets on with it. Only the time available is the barrier that stops this man.

Agree that Bobby deserves all the praise he gets, and also Stevet. I know the time and effort they both put in to get our games on, as well as doing a full time job. I thank both of them, for allowing me, to do my small enjoyable bit at our great family club. A shame not everyone sees the effort these two great guys put in. Bobby, Steve, i salute you and the Fosters Top and Carlsberg are on me.
