Were doing ok n just about holding our own - were 2nd best from the moment we scored....
Made a few changes as the second half went on n seemed to be all over the place defensively....
Lacked a real threat up front n got out muscled all over the pitch from start to finish!!
The ref was poor again n was so inconsistent with a lot of non decisions of clear cut fouls n then booking players for nothing challenges!?!
Back to league action next week n all being well a welcome 3 points to set us up for the festive period!!!

We were 2nd best throughout the match from as early as the 2nd minute when their forward skied the ball over the bar from the 6yard line. This was possibly our worst performance of the season, and reminded me of our defeat to Havant in the Trophy last year.
Lincoln were sharper, faster on the ball and IMO had a greater desire than us today. We need a big improvement if we are to get anything from Macclesfield next week and then the tough games over Christmas against Cambridge and Tamworth.

Oh dear. I am so dissapointed in what I saw today the team that had passion heart and desire must have been playing away today, I saw nothing of the sort. Lack of width, toothless upfront and ageeing with previous comments muscled off the ball. Nik - could do nothing bout the goals and almost prevented the 3rd. Ryan - Looked dissinterested Sam - Did ok Big Al - Won everything and should of been MOTM. Deano - Drew their young lads into some clever fouls Painey - Usual display but showed no quality. Sparky - Good outlet in first half but faded badly Chez - Not at the races today Kenny - If that was a captains display , Hang you head in shame. ( sorry) Dan - Needs some better support and inter play Sean - Lost out on so many headers its becoming funny. Subs Ex - Good long throws little else Mulley - From his first attacking run could not even beat the first man Jordan - Deserves to start alongside Dan. Loyalty is not scoring us goals or winning us points. Should have scored however!
All in all if we play like that against cambridge we are gonna get thumped. at least we have the Macclesfield game to put things right. Really thought we could of had a run in this comp. Also if a player cannot take a corner and hit the penalty spot at least or a free kick in a dangerous place and end up in the car park please dont take it. 9 other outfield players who can surely kick a ball with some quality. If today was like the melbourne stadium today and pay the admission fee of what you thought I would of paid £1 quid ! Good idea for future though ( crowd over 700 today). Also very dissapointed my nephew got IDed for entrance today, not many 15 year olds have ID and with the piss poor attendance be gratful anyone wanted to come through the gates. Rant over Ill still be there next sat with faith in my heart and my 15 year old nephew !!!

I set the bedside wifi radio for the BBC Lincs match commentary starting 2am. What a disappointment! Even BBC Lincs were surprised when we hit the front and were even more in wonderment how Iron had got so much higher in the league than their side. Of course one bad performance doesn't a season make. Going on what I'm hearing, we at times lack a certain intensity needed to win cup games. Now back to the bread and butter with Macclesfield. If today was like the melbourne stadium today and pay the admission fee of what you thought I would of paid £1 quid ! Good idea for future though ( crowd over 700 today). I'd imagine it's quite hard to quantify the benefit from ideas like this. It appears to me to be desperation measures by the city slickers. While having more in attendance is a plus as it's psychological that crowds will often attract even bigger crowds. The down-side of the policy is likely reduced gate receipts, regulars would be too proud to be seen handing over a coin, but I suspect away supporters - not many in Hayes & Yeadings case and the casual visitor is more likely to take advantage of a cheap afternoon. Gate receipts could well be the lowesr of the season, yet the ongoing cost of running the club will need to be met. Only on-field results will bring back the missing fans. Unfortunately for you Simon, you don't get to decide after the match )

I was very disappointed, like others above, at our lack of effort in this game. Time and again we were beaten to the ball by a very energetic and spirited Lincoln. Several, but not all,of our players seemed to be playing at such a lethargic pace that it crossed my mind we were trying to lose the match! As I recall, Lincoln's last two goals came from excellent long throw-ins, which landed well into our goal area. Yet we had Exodus Geohaghan on the bench for most of the game who has a spectacularly long throw-in.
My own hunch is that if we had given a start to him and the excellent Jordan Cox we may well have seen a better result. Also, and I make the point yet again, whenever we make late substitutions we very often give away a goal or two, as today.
The Non-League Paper today quotes Devs as saying "My boys gave everything ...". All I can say is that it did not look like that from the stand.

Enfield Town (0) 0 Kingstonian (0) 1 By Ciaran Glennon, 15th Dec 2013 Share on facebook Share on twitter Share on email 0 Town continue to improve, despite losing by the only goal from K's Ryan Moss. Looking more solid at the back, Town created enough chances for a point.
Bradley Quinton was joined by new signings Sam Griffiths and Newman Carney and the improvements in defence were immediate.
As 3rd placed Kingstonian looked for an early goal Town were more organised in defence and refused to allow them a way through. With Bradley Quinton effective in marshalling Town’s defences and providing some superb deliveries into the Kingstonian box, Town were a more rounded package. As a result chances were few and far between for the visiting side. Town's Joe Stevens tried an overhead shot from a Quinton free kick into the box, but Kingstonian were edging the half without dominating. They came close to breaking the deadlock rattling the Town post but in reply Jermaine Osei raced onto a clearance for Town but curled his shot too close to Kingstonian’s Rob Tolfrey as they finished the half well.
Kingstonian cane out reinvigorated in the second half and pushed Enfield Town back. A ferocious free kick from Ryan Moss was parried away by Noel Imber, but Moss soon fired K’s in front after beating the offside trap as with a man on the ground and a suspicion of offside the Town defence were caught flatfooted. Town rallied as the half wore on and forced Kingstonian on to the back foot. Tolfrey escaped a fumble under his bar and Tyler Campbell came close as K’s dropped deeper and deeper. Defender Mark Kirby could have equalised late in the game but his shot thundered into Tolfrey from close range as Kingstonian hung on for the win.

I would imagine that Newman and Sam have gone on loan or dual registration? Can anyone confirm this?

Interesting as all this is, isn't it in the wrong thread? Wouldn't it be better on its own thread or, even better, a permanent, and regularly updated, one dealing with the activities of all Braintree players, ex or out on loan, who are playing elsewhere?
Over to you, Administrator. *Hi 1672, Anyone can create a thread and update it like chino does with goalscorers and Notleykev with match odds. With regards finding this info I personally wouldn't know where to begin, when you've established the thread let me know and I can sticky it at the top. Cheers-admin*

Well done broduer cut and paste genius !!! Congrats on stabilising the sinking claret ship for the time being. Merry Xmas Copy and paste? Not quite that simple, highlighting you're own stupidity........you could only be an Iron fan. Sticks and stones. Look mate your obviously obsessed by our club now with 3 posts on our forum, If you dont fancy popping down to see you boys get a tonking at Eastleigh at the weekend pop down the Amlin watch a decent team against an ex league team( Macclesfield) ill even treat you to a cup of dishwater that we call tea at half time, I will be by the 18 yard box. left hand side. Good view from there no running track in my way so I can really appreciate the game. Cheers Pal.
