I've seen on the Weymouth forum that they're covering this match. I always follow our games but Vietnam blocks access to all BBC sites, so I can't even find the web address for the commentary. If someone can help me out by going to the BBC commentaries page here: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/13629210 and copy and paste the match address on here, I have a potential workaround by manually keying the url directly into an android live radio app. I expect that'll get around the Vietnamese censorship. Thanks - Phil

Here it is: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24654511Hope you have better luck than me. I found it would not work on my Android mobile. It seems that BBC Internet broadcasts need Java, and Java is not supported on Android, though apparently it can be fixed by a compliczted workaround. Good luck.

Cheers 1672. I listened to the Chester commentary via xiia pro app in Cambodia last week. Surely you'd only need java with iplayer? I'll let you know how I go. Hmm that looks like the link to the list of commentaries page, not the actual stream url. To find that first click on the link, then click - listen to windows media, then it opens and plays in media player you can copy and paste the url from the address showing in the browser web address bar. A stream is likely to look like this: www.bbc.co.uk/englandcms/livestreams/int11.asx only a different number.

Sorry, Phil - a slip of my brain - I should have said Flash Player!
I tried to access the Weymouth commentary site and also via its Windows Media Player button but all I get is a message that it is not available at present, for contractual or technical reasons, and advises me to try later, which I will do. It could just be that, with still 3 hours to go, the link is not yet connected. I'll try again, as and when I can get to my PC (I'm otherwise engaged on clearing my loft out!) and will certainly do so at about 2.30pm our time if that is OK.

The internet broadcasts generally start about 5 mins before the game, its some sort of contractual thing. I have often said that the commentary should start about half an hour prior to the game, some stations do broadcast longer, depends on how much the station is willing to pay for the privilege of broadcasting!! Lets hope for a unbiased commentary and the result in the Irons favour.

Thanks 1672, is that your D.O.B, you must have gone to school with Shakespeare The BBC must have about 20 of those online streams available, so the number changes, but int.11 is coincidentally the same stream as allotted to BBC Essex for our game with Chester. Lets hope the BBC don't have the rights to broadcast to the UK only, otherwise all should be good on the smartphone. It's linking up with the standard recorded message okay. Will let you know. It's streaming the BBC Solent Sports programme so looking good, they've gone over to the game now - great. I'm going to log off and enjoy the commentary. GoIRONGo!
