Kenny came off in the second half against Alfreton holding his hamstring. As suspected, BBC Essex confirmed this and that he will be out for at least two weeks. A massive blow but I think Chez has proved he can slot in to the middle (his natural position) and perform admirably.

Gutted about Kenny but in a strange way this may give us a little more creativity in the Middle (albeit we will certainly lack Kenny's bite!).....so who would be your Penalty taker in Kenny's absence ?

I agree that we'll miss Kenny a lot, but I also feel that Chez is a better player himself in the central role. Even without Daley, I am very comfortable that Sparkes can do a job. Give him a couple of starts, and his confidence may grow. It feels good that we have some decent strength in depth.
