If you're not going you can listen to live commentary by courtesy of BBC Essex at this link: www.bbc.co.uk/englandcms/livestreams/int12.asxI have an idea that our very own Gordon Humphris is assisting with the commentary GoIRONGo!

It appears Marksy's gone to a wedding and Holman's carrying an injury, hence Enver-Marum and Cox leading our attack.

Made the short trip from Wolverhampton to watch the game, Braintree were fantastic, solid in defence and all worked hard for each other

Couldn't make the game today due to other commitments at the Amlin. Did have chance to speak to Devs this morning and put in one request boys play well nick a goal three points and see you Tuesday. The lads to a man performed brill, and showed just how good they are even when forced changes were put on the management team. Still early times but a fantastic display by all, from MT, players, and fans.

Four first team regulars missing and still we put in a performance good enough to beat a team that were in the football league just 2 years ago. Wish I could have been there but the coach was full before I knew I could make it.
What a TEAM/SQUAD spirit Devs has created here at Braintree. Well done to everyone involved and lets now look forward to Forest Green next Saturday and another 3 points.
Well done karlos for travelling from Wolverhampton to see the match. A true IRON fan.

Another fab display by the part timers. Again proving we should fear noone. Enforced changes and by the sounds of the commentry we played well. I think we will face a stiff challenge next saturday in Forest green but collectivly we need to shut the defensive door and hit them through the middle. Yes they can score with an array of fire power but they do concedeed. Last season we outclassed them at home and away. Good luck boys I will be cheering you on I hope we attract another good crowd.

We did exactly that yesterday, solid in defense with little to trouble the back four. At the other end had we been a bit more confident in the abilities we have up front we could have run out 3 or 4 nil, they had little up front and not much at the back, with midfield being an even affair. How strong will we be as a squad once all the injuries and suspension gives Dev's his full side to play with. The one thing it did prove yesterday is that we have spirit, strength and depth to this young small part-time squad and every man likes to play for the Iron. Can I also say that I was so proud of the small band of the Iron Faithful whose voices rose against the 1200 plus Macclesfield supporters particularly after the start of the second half after Liams effort nestled in the back of the net. The one other thing I observed was that I never felt we were in danger of losing and didn't have the same nerves as I did at Dartford who were more of a threat. We had chances to bury the game but didn't need to. They had one shot on goal that Nathan got down and behind on and the rest went left, right or over the goal and twice across the face. Well done to Alan and the lads, a great performance............can we play all our games away!!!LOL!!!

The BBC report:
Rhys Taylor was called into action early on as he parried away a Liam Enver-Marum strike, while Braintree's Ryan Peters also made saves against Scott Boden and Danny Whitaker.
I knew we were hard up for players, but asking Ryan to play in goal was pretty desperate!

It was a fantastic result and performance, especially with having 2 central defenders and 2 strikers out and a lot of players out there probably not being fully match fit. They were all amazing!
