Kidderminster are one of the best teams in the league - second last season and I bet they will be up there again this season. No disgrace to lose but a bit worrying the way they totally outplayed us in the first half. All credit for putting up a better show at the start of the second half. MoM probably Nathan, who handled everything pretty well and couldn't be blamed for the goal. I do wish Luke would look up occasionally and not always rush headlong into a group of defenders who invariably - both Tuesday and today - come away with the ball

Just read the Kiddy report, and seemed to me to be a well balanced and fair report.
Have no idea where they got the info about the new ground from. Any comments IW.

I think Dev's made a mistake by not playing Enver Marum. No disrespect to the other forwards, but he's the only player in the squad who can beat three players and pick out the top corner from 35 yards. You need that little bit of magic when playing the better sides.

Think they got information from Picture up in Board Room of New ground.
Asked me who was funding it, advised that we own our ground worth 5/8 million depending on current values, and 2/3 years away also depending on our council. but looking positive from information Lee has fed me.
No change on what we Know at present but with pictures up in board Room of ground as on our Web site people tend to ask questions and I have to be polite and answer in vague terms.
Hope that helps as I look after away teams directors on match days.
Nice people from Kidderminster well looked after in Board Room.

Thought it was a poor game today and expected more of Kiddie. Devs obviously had words at half time, but the bright start soon fizzled out. Seems to be a large gap between Marks/Holman and the rest of the team and generally a lack of bodies in support when attacking. Anyone else notice that a few of the oppo players seemed to be carrying a bit of timber - Gash, Malbon & Fowler to name but 3.

Kidderminster were a big side, height or build!! A very well organised side in defence. Chez Isaac is a brilliant signing, full of energy and always wants the ball but seems a waste in the right midfield position, I understand that he's covering for Mulley but why not put him in the middle with Kenny and put Sparkes on the right. Also, Liam Enver-Marum why haven't we brought him on earlier in the last two games?, when it needed a change!

I hope we're not falling back into the habit of conceding late goals. One of Alex Ferguson's and other successful managers training tactics is to instil in the players that analysis shows there are times in games when goals are more frequently scored/conceded. In the first 10 mins, the 5 mins before and after the interval and especially in the final 10 minutes, particularly at the death. Good sides are mindful of this and work harder to keep possession particularly in the oppositions half.
That said Kidderminster are an accomplished full time team, to expect us to regularly beat these sides is a big ask for us part-timers. Next week it's Dartford away, I don't suppose they'll be easy, but they are fellow part timers.

I agree that Kiddy are a well organised team, and made us work all over the pitch.
They caught just after we'd made a substitution, where we were obviously looking to see off the game. We took off a striker, to replace him with a midfielder, so probably looking to crowd the midfield, and get our well deserved draw.
Unfortunately for us, it backfired, with their scoring just as the midfield were re-organising. Then, of course, having conceded, we sent on a striker.
We were outplayed for big parts of the game, but the temperament of the team is excellent, and in the end, I think we deserved a draw.
Not too worry, every game is a challenge, and I'm sure we'll win more than we lose.

Agreed, ad75 and Ozbrit, so why does Devs keep making late substitutions? I have lost count of how many goals we have conceded in the last few minutes of a game over the last 2-3 seasons when the opposition have jumped in and taken advantage of the resulting re-organisation/confusion. He brought on Enver-Marum with only 30 seconds of normal time left on Saturday. What was the point of that!

Perhaps because we had just gone 1-0 down and he felt throwing on a striker may get us an equaliser? He had just taken Holman off and brought on Sparkes I'm guessing to sure up the midfield a little as we were still 0-0. When we fell behind that left Marksy up top on his on own. If he hadn't of thrown on another striker would we all be moaning that he didn't go for the equaliser?! I for one won't be critising the judgement of a management team that guided us to 9th last season.

My take on the Kiddie game on sat was that we didn't do our homework? kiddie were a big side with only the right back and the right sided midfield were the only players under 6 foot. In the first half our hoof up the field to clear our lines came back all to quickly because sean and dan didn't have much chance against their central defenders. It was like we played to their strenght's. Second half the tactics did change and for a time we did play better but I always thought that we would be under pressure from crosses, corners and set pieces. Nathen and the defence did really well not to concede earlier as they did create some good chances. the goal came when their player vaughan fell over while on the ball and we sort off switched off. thier guy scored with a totally free header from the penalty spot. We need some shooting practice!
