Would there be any players you would like to see back in an iron shirt from our conference south winning side? Jamie Guy, Phil Starkey, Sam Lechmere, Mark Jones, Adam bailey-Dennis, Jai Reason? Would any fit in our side now?!

Still a big believer that Jai Reason could do a job and score goals at BSP level. I would have him back in a heart beat, shame he likes his money to much! I don't beleive any of the others could improve our team; I would have said Guysey but I feel the bad injury he suffered a couple of years ago has rather derailed his footballing career.

I agree with both points! Apart from Jonesy, the others are relatively young especially Sam and Adam that's what made me wonder about ex players

Jamie Guy, Phil Starkey, Sam Lechmere, Mark Jones, Adam bailey-Dennis, Jai Reason? Would any fit in our side now?! I think all these players could be in our squad and two( ABD & Jai) have played for us in the conference premier. Jamie Guy is possibly not the player he could have been, it's not easy to come back from a double break to the leg and develop further. ABD was basically a fringe player and while he gave everything, wasn't the most accomplished player in the league to say the least. How they all might have gone when they were at their peak is guesswork and circumstantial at best. Our best players have generally been the one's which left us to play at a higher level. That's not to say that players like Mark Jones couldn't have played in the Conference premier in their day. Sometimes players can look terrific in the Ryman league, take the same individual to the connie premier and they can look awful.

Adam started 16 out of the 22 games we had last season before he left. Surely that is not a fringe player?

Adam also only missed 3 games the year before and 2 the year before that when we won the league, in the programme it says he played 115 games in 3 years definetly not a fringe player and still only 22 years old.I think we should have kept a little longer.

That and he got subbed in numerous games as well. I wasn't impressed by ABD apart from the tenacity he brought to his game. I thought he mixed it too much and his disciplinary record was hardly exemplary. Sometimes fans get matey with certain players and once that happens a fair appraisal of them might be difficult. You have to realise that I not only saved the youtube clips of games both ours and our opponents, the occasional televised match and listen to every radio commentary, the word dirty or similar has cropped up far too regularly with this player - trust me!

Couldn't agree more oz, plus I witnessed him make way to many cockups which normally led to goals conceded

Easy to say when a player has gone but I thought that Adam gave all. To my knowledge he score some good goals just when we needed them, He was one of the players that got us into the conference. So to say he was not good enough is a bit disappointing to me

He was a decent enough connie south player but in my view deffo not consistently solid n reliable enough for prem level, hense why in the end he had to go

Yes agree most of these players could play for us again jones was good at the back , Jamie was a theat to everyone shame what happened to him but he is doing well where he is playing now .Adam back with rod where rod will get the best from him like he did with the team 2011 Lechmere was a good player he feed the front men who at the time were in the runing as the top goal scorers of the league,

Of all the players been mentioned above, Phil Starkey imo left us too soon. We never got to see his full potential whilst with us only glimpses, sure this lad would have made it. A Lot mentioned on here ref ABD, OZ hit the nail on the head. Won a championship with us in a good squad of players at that moment in time, not good enough at con prem, as many mishaps well documented for viewing. Has tried to rekindle the spirit with Rod at Bish in the north. Don't expect Adam to be with them in the south, looks a strong league and Rod will not only need to find better players to compete, he will need more consistency if he wants a top half finish.

Sam Lechmere was at Billericay FC last season. Phil Starkey was at Margate FC. I would assume they are still at these clubs. I agree that Phil showed a lot of potential and probably left to soon. Was that not to do with the fact he didn't want to play/travel in the BSP? How George has fallen since his move away from us; that injury really stalled his career.
