Both teams went down to 10 men following first half sendings off. Matt Paine being our man to be despatched, quite unjustly by most accounts.
Goals each side of half time through Sean Marks and skipper Kenny Davis give Iron back to back home wins.
Great result, well done to Devs and team.

Just fantastic! Who in their right mind 5 yrs ago would have forecast that Braintree would do the double over the Hatters and by two clear goals in both games? FANTASTIC!

A great result. Dev's really got the team well organised. Braintree seem to have learnt that possession and territory leads to goals. ;D

Another Great Result. Dev and the boys were fantastic. To do the double over them is one heck of an achievement. Great Night all round.

another fantastic display that basically mirrored the grimsby match. Off the top of my head i cant even recall luton having a shot on target all evening, plus to top it off, for the first time this season for us to achieve back to back clean sheets against two of the top sides in the division really speaks volumes for the management and team. Before the grimsby match a week ago i'd have been extatic with 4 points from those 2 matches but to do what we did in the way we did is truly fantastic and sets us up briliantly for what will be a tiring run in
Well done the iron!! get in!!

Yet another solid performance from the Iron. Much of the credit should go to the defense and Englands number one for holding out two clean sheets against two top clubs in this league but as a whole, the whole team did us proud. I'm really happy to see some more home wins and that the team and Devs are giving us something to sing about on the terraces! Braintree as a whole are working together and playing football. Yes, some of our passing is leaky at times but we are playing more solidly as a whole now. Chances are being created and playing really well in our back third. My only comments is firstly, does anyone know why Daley was substituted quite early? and secondly, during the second half, we looked shaky at times and the long balls weren't really working and needed to play the possession game on the ground but I'm not complaining as we got a second goal from another great cross from Holman for Kenny to plant into the back of the net and we still got a very comfortable win. Also happy to hear some more singing from other areas of the stadium from iron supporters, not just from behind the goal. So c'mon the Iron on the next game away. Another win will do us nicely considering the form we are in right now. Onwards and upwards lads!

Unfortunately I couldn't get to the game yesterday due to a dodgy back. I assume Dev replaced Luke Daly because Matt got sent off and he felt the central midfield need cover. What tremendous effort by players, management & supporters for two fantastic performances. Am gutted I've had to drop out for Saturday's game, but I'm sure the lads will do us proud once again.

Subbing Daley provided to be a master stroke in my opinion as it looked like we went 441 with Holman slotting in on the left whilst it was 10v11 but allowed us to quickly switch back to 432 once there ref evened it up. Where as Luton who started 433 struggled to adapt to going down to 10 as well as we did. IMO that was the biggest difference last night

Any chance of the club producing a DVD of the game? If they do count me in for one.
