with 24 hours or so before kick-off is due how is the condition of the pitch and will there be a need for additional helpers tomorrow morning. I am available to lend a hand if required. I would hope that if a call goes out a large group will make themselves available to assist the ground staff get the game on if we get a decent weather window. Can we have an update as to current state of the pitch. Thank you ............Come on the Iron.

Saturday v Hereford - I'll talk to Graham later and find out if he needs any help this morning. We had a bit of rain last night, but it seems to have been dry since then. More when I have it.

Am I right in assuming that the game is still on? Haven't seen any information on the website or much on here.

Have to say Hereford were a strong well organised team and deserved their 3 points all be it fortuotously...... If there man had received the red card he deserved for a blatant 2 handed push then things would have been a lot different...... Can't remember their keeper having to exert himself as all our shots were either straight at him or wide of the mark!! Kenny looked knackered n we never really got going let alone challenge for the 2nd ball!! All round disappointed by the below par performance n have to say has to be the worst performance by all 3 of the officials for both teams, who were late making decisions n way off the pace

Going by the very fair BBC Hereford & Worcs. commentary, they 'thought' Kenny was our best player and couldn't understand why he was subbed. They also though the manhandling of Wellsie was a nailed on red card.
What does irk me is the way we are unable to rally when conceding. Again the radio commentary said we only really threatened at set pieces and should work on two areas, being more direct and improving our shooting, their goalkeeper was shaky, they knew it, but we hardly tested him from open play.
looking at the latest scores, nearly all the threatened sides were losing or drawing, but then late strikes by Lincoln, Hyde and Tamworth meant that they all salvaged something from their respective games, we need to do the same sometimes.
A tough test awaits on Tuesday, we managed a great win at our place, I'm sure FGR are waiting for us, we're going to have to play out of our skins to stop them.

Kenny had brilliant game and was the lynch pin in midfield and going forward, he was knackered because he was one of the few who were really putting themselves about, it was logical to give him a break and maybe try and change things, from my lofty position in the "TV studio" we lost the game not just to poor finishing but Hereford covered the ground better, quicker and had the run of the ball, picking up quickly on the many passing and poor ball control exhibited by the Iron players. To quote AD at the end of the day, Hereford were just better than us on the day. Looking for better at FGR on Tuesday evening. Come on the Iron.
