Things are going well, our breakthrough goal came midway through the half scored by Sean Marks. Our second through Luke Daly midway through the second stanza. Iron reduced to 10 men - Ryan Peters red carded, then FGR grab one back. Even the BBC Gloucs commentary are saying the sending off's unjust! Braintree penalty - Kenny Davis nets yay! FGR also have player sent off - In extra time.
Great result tonight, back to back wins takes us clear of the relegation zone. To be fair it's a funny old league this year and with the way it's going, a team with 50 points could well go down.

Time we all got behind Devs and the players after another 3 points against a cashed Forest Green - A fantastic match again, but whats with the muffled loudspeaker system?

Thoroughly enjoyed the game tonight. Thought FGR were very poor first half and with some better balls into the box we would surely have doubled our lead. Credit FGR who looked much better after the break but Braintree showed masses of charecter when Peters got sent off.
The second booking for Peters looked harsh through the mist, but as good as he is going forward every time I see him he gets the wrong side of his man and ends up chasing back toward goal, Wells bailed him out twice in the first half so as harsh as it was he put himself in a bad position and the referee (man of the match in his own head no doubt) couldn't wait to pull the trigger. My MOTM Sean Marks another goal and never stopped working a constant thorn in FGRs side all night.
Up to 17th well done Dev and the boys.

That was more like it. Why can't we play like that against the lesser teams? Agree with MOTM for Marksy - got battered throughout but kept coming back for more. Impressed with James Mulley too - another one who kept chasing all night.
Not sure I agree that Ryan's second booking was harsh. If anything the first one was harsher. He dived in for the second and once he missed the ball, a yellow was almost inevitable.
Great penalty from Kenny! Breathed a sigh of relief after that

A very solid performance tonight. When they got their goal it was squeaky bum time, but a timely penalty restored our 2 goal led and virtually killed off any hope of FGR making a comeback. There were plenty of players worthy of a mention tonight IMO Alan Massey impressed, as usual Deano, Matt, Kenny seems to finding some form a last and of course man of the match Sean, he rattled their defence all night, the central defender just could not handle him. When's Mr Braintree returning to the 1st team?

Without doubt our best home performance of the season. The whole team gave 100% tonight.
No MOTM for me, as everyone of them played their hearts out.

Agree with everything said above, no need for any great critisim from any quarter, the team looked strong and played as a team, Luke Daley harried down the right and linked well with a much improved James Mulley. Holman and Marks up front did well and we managed the midfield better, we passed the ball well and maintained the pace. The defence looked good and yes Ryan was not at his total best but he is after all coming back from injury but the referee, card happy it seems, balanced out the discipline in the end, an FGR sending off seemed likely as the whole of their back four were on a yellow and seemed to have problems containing Sean and Dan. Full marks to the team, it was a team effort, the new boy, Watts made a brief cameo in time added on, coming in for the hard working Sean Marks, had an instant impact before the ref blew time. All in all, a pleasure to watch and commentate on. Well done to Alan and the whole team.

Well done to Devo & the lads. Excellent display & a great fighting spirit when we went down to 10 men, unfairly in my opinion. Gives us great hope for the next four games over Christmas & New Year. Happy Christmas to all
