Our Jacob Mingle has a double fractured jaw and will be staying overnight in hospital.
He will be operated on in the morning and is expected to make a full recovery.
Our thanks to everyone at WsM for their help today and best wishes.
More news when I have it.

Sorry to hear about Jacob's injury which certainly took some gloss off the three points - get well soon Jacob your 100% effort and brilliant start to the season will be sorely missed. Good luck with your op today. Get well soon from all iron fans. 10-12 weeks at least out I reckon which is a real blow. More important to read, nevertheless is that JM is stable after all that bleeding.

Good news. Just had a message from Garvs who is still in the West Country with Jacob. His operation was a success and Jacob is now in recovery. More news when I have it.

Jacob has had two plates inserted in his jaw. He can talk, but is unable to eat. He should be able to come home tomorrow (Monday). Please contribute to the collection the Club are planning for Saturday - even if it's loose change - every little helps!
Let's make sure we look after our own.

Firstly, I'd like to wish Jason a speedy recovery.
Secondly, a question for Webbo.
Following on from his comment " Lets make sure we look after our own."
Does the club provide, or offer, any form of Player Injury Insurance Cover?
I know through a former experience the financial difficulties that can arise for any young non-professional player when they are unable to work due to a long term football injury!

Local, yes players are covered by both the Club and Conference insurance.
Players are also required to have their own private health care and any injured player will always be paid in full by the Club while recovering from injury.
The extra we raise will hopefully help while he is recovering.
