I see Lee Burns has cracked in 6 for Dartford already this season as they sit proudly on top of the league - Hawesy's Sutton have also started well which is less than can be said for Bakes' big spending 'ricay!!!
On to to day and Come on you yellows with Markesy back I feel we have a great chance for three points.
Ash.

That is very harsh both Burns and Burgess gave 110% for Braintree when others did not.

Unable to get to cressing road in time for the match today so went to the Bridge and saw Hornchurch crushed by Dartford 2 - 0 this afternoon. Standard of play was very high...dartford will take some stopping on this form. Main point...burgess was outstanding in defence whilst Burns was electric up front . Thought some of you might like to know this. Congratulations to the Iron on a fine win.

Does it really matter what league it was. Just an observation that one of Braintree's finest players was still putting in a good performance. He still has many fans at Cressing Road vwho are interested in what former players are doing.

It's great that former Iron have found a level to be successful at. We all wish them well. Even Craig holloway, who left us to play at a higher level. [cough]
As to those of us they leave behind - it's just a personal opinion, of course, but I think that we at Cressing Road aspire to better things than trips to AFC Hornchurch.

Having seen all six braintree games this season but living 60 miles away from cressing road and not able to start the journey until 2.30 which would have been impossible to reach in time then if you are a real non league supporter you take in a local game that you can reach and that is the reason I attended this particular match. As a thread had already been started on these two former players I felt it might be interesting for some to know how they were doing. Hope to see you at Weston next saturday Mr Brown. I would rather hear your report ,comment and expert opinion on the Chelmsford match than have you get excited when a couple of former players drop a league

I too live some distance from the stadium, but made it there on Monday afternoon. Oh how we chortled ... "Sacked in the morning, you're getting sacked in the morning ..." [is he still in gainful employment by the way?]
But less of that. I'll be there at Weston-super-Mare. I stick by my comments, you stick by yours, but be grateful we don't have to go to AFC Hornchurch anymore!
Up the Iron!
