I have been really impressed with Jacob since the start of the season. He is brilliant at winning "difficult" headers and still manages to direct the ball straight to the feet of one of our players. His corner-kicking is also spot on as well, the ball invariably landing exactly where it is needed. Playing at No 7, he is as good as Robbie Martin, yet has the height that Robbie lacked. A good aquisition

I think he is much better than Robbie. Robbie just lost the ball nearly all the time and he isn't really good enough for Conference South. I have been very impressed with Jacob so far, as he looks like a really passer of the ball and he doesn't seem to lose it too many times either.

Not sure that I agree with you, iron4ever. Certainly in the last few months he was here Robbie had lost a lot of his pace, but earlier on, whenever he was brought on, his pace and agility allowed him to run riot through the opposition defence, to finish with an inch-perfect cross. The crowd in the stand could never understand why he was rarely given the chance to play a full match, and invariably got the loudest applause of any sub when brought on.

I'm also very impressed with Jacob Mingle. He does have great ball control.
