Possibly the best 90 minutes from an Iron side seen at Cressing Road since the Borg championship side. An absolute joy to watch exquisite football to watch pace passing, perfectly balanced team every one putting in 100% and Purcell is like lightning at the mo - Marksy was superb as well as was the whole 11 - nicky only had one save to make all night.
All together now sing up - we are top of the league sing we are top of the league............
Bring a friend on Saturday you will not be disappointed with the refreshing football and quick tempo that garvs has installed in his side 0 it still a very small squad and early days yet..........but that's more points than we had in nine yes NINE games last season.
Difference tonite was fitness and workrate we simply put in much more effort than the opposition gamey and mingle won the midfield and bruce marshalled the defence
bring on maidenhead...............

Certainly the team balance, work rate and pace going forward looks better than last season. A decent performance but wouldn't get carried away too early into the season. Lewes looked a poor side who only drew with Weymouth on Saturday.......Eastleigh winning 5 - 0 at Weymouth last night! It will take 8 - 10 games before we can judge the team properly. I remember where Hull City and Spurs were at beginning of the season. It's where they are at the end of the season that really matters!

Your use of Eastleigh as a measure of how good or bad a side may be, is interesting to say the least. WE beat Eastleigh on their own bit of dirt on saturday and that after the team had endured an arduous and frustrating trip down. We were the business last night and no one need apologise for that.
