Sean Marks with 2. George Purcell with 2.
We played well at times and a bit scrappy at the start and at the end, but not bad for the first match.
Anyone know the score at Canvey?

Lee Goodwin (ex Dagenham & Redbridge coach) was in the dug-out with Robbie Garvey, looks like he has joined the coaching staff

Iron lined up at Burnham wearing last seasons yellow shirts (with new large black numbers on them), and royal blue shorts.
1. Nicky Morgan 2. Ryan Peters (sub - 12. Matt Smith) 3. Andrew Howell 4. Ryan Moran 5. Lynval Duncan (sub - 14. Simon Eastaugh) 6. Brad Quinton (sub - 16. Paul Day) 7. Phil Starkey (sub - 17. Andy Hughes) 8. Matt Game 9. Sean Marks 10. George Purcell (sub - 19. Jake Turner) 11. Jonah Gosling (sub - 15. Tony Hardy)
Att. 68, fleeced £6 admission for a friendly (cheaper than Canvey, but still outrageous)

Perhaps it's a sign of the times that our hosts choose to charge top dolla for the visit of one of the big Conference fish in Essex these days!
Very, very early days, but we're certainly a fit squad. Well done Gravs, Broomie & co.

my understanding was we drew 1-1 against canvey who was the scorer? Did anybody see any good players ? Has anybody got anything they would like to share about any of the players from either game? What are your thoughts for next season?

Gunner,
Leon Antoine a trialist from Canvey Island was a goalscorer with a header after a cross from another trialist Cameron Mawer who is a right-back and had a very good game.
from what i can remember our team was: GK: Nathan McDonald (young keeper, just released by Southend United) RB: Cameron Mawer (on trial. ex Watford, Grays and Weymouth) CB: Joe Bruce CB: Adam Bailey-Dennis (had a very good game, made one mistake but good recovery) LB: Mark Jones (c) RM: Scott Smith (reserves, has played for Stanway Rovers first team) CM: Jacob Mingle CM: Liam Coleman (good player, very vocal, trial. ex Northwitch,Tiptree,Wivenhoe among others) LM: Joe Villiers (on trial. 18. ex Dag&Red and Thurrock. has played for England colleges) CF: Leon Antoine (big target man with pace on trial from Canvey Island) CF: Tom Webb (trial, ex Colchester, Glenn Hoddle Academy and Harlow Town)
SUBS: Kane Dobrowlowski-Wells Ross McLaren Will Finch Luke Thornton
