AFC Hornchurch! link: www.fansfocus.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/1563414/Latest_News_From_the_Bridge.html#Post1563414From their forum: I have been asked by the club to put the following news on the forum and as soon as we can on to the website. Afc Hornchurch have applied for administration, today the courts sat and have agreed to our application to go into administration. This will mean we will start the season on -10 points There is now a process of which any interested parties who want to buy the club out of administration can apply to the administrator to do so,should the terms be favourable. At present i have been informed that 2 groups could be interested in buying the club out.I do not know who these are but have been told that we should have some more news on this by wednesday. Obviously next season could be a struggle but its not an impossible situation and depending on who comes into the club, there is no reason why we cannot compete for at least a play off place but we will need to get behind the club like we did in the ESL and ever since.

I love the bit "At present i have been informed that 2 groups could be interested in buying the club out.I do not know who these are". Is this spiel for - there are individuals considering taking over the current debts of the club?
I also wonder whether Karl Williams (also known as Uncle Urchin) will be starring in the Guinness Book of records for master-minding a record number of liquidations through his involvement at Coldseal, a myriad of failed double glazing companies and now a brace of Hornchurch football clubs.
To use his own inimitable phrase 'you couldn't make it up could ya' :0)

To be fair to this bloke, it is unusual to 'own' two businesses that have, in reality, been the same business and both have endured insolvency. Anyway, today's bankrupt clubs include: Lewes, Hyde, Southend, Northwich and the owners of St. Albans. Link: south.ytfc.com/south.mpl?action=View+Thread&thread=16254

Karl Williams (uncle urchin) is an absolute shaggy haired twat. He's been bleeding the football club dry ever since his business' failed and believe me he's had a few. They got to the 1st round proper with a plum home draw against Peterborough, where did all that FA cup money go, must of been thousands upon thousands. Listening to him talk he knows nothing about the game, the only thing he's good at is doing his money.
The moral of the story is we don't want/need these sort of characters in the non-league game
